Europe’s biggest solar farm to open in Portugal

  Spanish company has received an environmental license from the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) to build the largest photovoltaic farm project in Europe and the fifth largest in the world, with a 1,200 MW capacity. This project, named Fernando Pessoa, is set to begin operation in 2025 and aims to provide clean energy for approximately 430,000 homes while promoting biodiversity and supporting local communities.
